description:
Representatives from the Nevada Department of Wildlife Commission, Washoe County Sherriff's Department, Incline Village General Improvement District, the BEAR League and No Bear Hunt Nevada offer short presentations on bear biology, impacts of human/bear conflicts, bear management protocols/policy, attractant management and other bear related issues. The Lake Tahoe community continues to face tremendous challenges related to trash containment and human/bear interactions. The forum is being organized so that regional agencies can update the public on research being done on bear management policies, discuss possible regulatory/ policy changes and allow the public to provide feedback to local officials.
