Overview of the effects and implications of implementation of the California Common Core State Standards on schools with students with ASD, autism spectrum disorder. Social and intellectual deficits impede the students' ability to learn through traditional teaching methods and techniques, so teachers are urged to devise their own lesson plans and tailor instruction to the individual needs of the students in their classrooms.
