UC Berkeley's Frederic Wakeman, widely regarded as one of the world's finest China scholars, gave what turned out to be his last public lecture series on the history of China in April, 2006. In Part Two of this series, Wakeman examines the Manchu conquest of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644.) . The Wakeman series is presented by the Institute for International, Comparative and Area Studies at UC San Diego.
